Buttermilk Starter Culture - ORGANIC
Cultured buttermilk is sour milk used in cooking, especially biscuits and pancakes. It can also be consumed as a beverage, which we find incredibly refreshing! This culture will make thick and creamy buttermilk (cultured buttermilk is different from the thin buttermilk that is a byproduct of butter-making). It is teeming with enzymes and high in potassium, vitamin B12, calcium, and riboflavin.

*This buttermilk is cultured using cold milk, and fermented at room temperature. In about 18 hours (although it could take longer) it will have set, and then is refrigerated for further setting.
